Speakers' Bureau
The Bucks County Committee for Interracial Harmony provides speakers and materials to groups interested in promoting interracial, interreligious and intergroup harmony.
Community Collaborations
We form synergistic relationships and co-sponsor events and programs with organizations including the Bucks County Chapter N.A.A.C.P., The Peace Center, Interfaith Housing Committee, Bucks County Chapter Jack and Jill, Inc., C.A.A.R., Bucks County Coalition for African-American Concerns, and Bucks County Community College.
Healing Racism Dialogues
BCCIH presents interactive trainings in an open and relaxed format. These dialogues provide opportunities for communication and the development of more harmonious understandings amongst diverse ethnic groups. In 1994, members of Bucks County Committee for Interracial Harmony conducted the first "Institute for the Healing of Racism." Healing Racism Dialogues are offered throughout the community; call BCCIH at 215-579-1836 to receive additional information.
The long range goal of "Healing Racism Dialogues" is to empower the community to develop programs that are committed to dismantling racism.
The following programs were developed and presented by participants of the original program:
Christians for the Healing of Racism
Monthly dialogues facilitated by Keith Pacheco and Bill Reed to the congregations of the First Baptist Church of Langhorne, the Presbyterian Church of Langhorne, Community Baptist Church of Yardley and Neshaminy United Methodist Church, as well as numerous individual community members.
Customized Dialogues
Presentations to Pennsbury School District's coaching and administrative staffs to promote diversity in hiring and appreciation of interracial issues.
Weekend Trainings for diverse community leaders and groups.
